Tried many brands and always come back to D'Addario.

Currently I'm using EJ15 X lite Phosphor Bronze strings. They are easy on the fingers and have nice bright tone and sustain after a month or so. I practice every day and play gigs two or three times per month. I play finger style (no pics) so I have to amp my acoustic guitar and and vocals in order to be heard. After using many different brands of strings I'll stick with D'Addario. They work well for my style and the price is right.

These phosphor bronze

These strings are the best I have ever used and, like most guitar players, I have tried every brand under the sun. They have a great feel and balance. They sound great going on, but after they have "settled in" for a day or so the tone is as good as you will ever get.

They are extremely playable and reliable. Get yourself a set. You won't be sorry.

My acoustic strings

Wow. This is where I started out: my first set of replacement guitar strings, bought specifically to replace the factory strings on my first real acoustic guitar. Memories.

EJ15 Phosphor Bronze Strings

I have Neuropathy in my left hand and consequently have trouble in exerting enough pressure on any guitar strings to sound properly and not have a "Thunk"! I switched to EJ15 extra-lites and problem is solved. So, at 70+ I can still do my thing. Thanks, D'Addario for all your fine products.
P.S. I use EHR 310's on my three electrics and they are the best!

D'Addario Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze Environmental X Lite, .010 - .047, EJ15

I have tried just about every brand of acoustic strings available and finally settled on these D'Addario Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze Environmental X Lite, .010 - .047, EJ15.
They sound bright and full without shrill highs or boomy lows. Very well balanced. But they do require a bit of care and maintenance. You have to wipe them down after every session so they don't corrode and clean them with string cleaner at least once a week. With proper care these strings will last at least a month even with extremely heavy playing styles and lots of jam sessions in that month. Over all a very good buy and very reasonably priced.

Phosphor Bronze Round Wound

"In 1974, D'Addario pioneered the use of phosphor bronze wire for the winding of acoustic guitar strings. D'Addario phosphor bronze strings were an instant and enduring success. A more costly alloy, phosphor bronze was widely known as a durable, long-lasting material used in machine bushings and bearings. After months of searching, a wire company was located that agreed to make sample wires for testing on music strings. The results made history. D'Addario phosphor bronze strings are bright sounding and retain their brilliance longer than other bronze and brass alloys.

Round wound phosphors are available in 6 different gauges for 6 string guitar, 3 gauges for 12 string, and 4 gauges in the Flat Tops series. Flat Tops are round wound phosphor bronze strings that are lightly polished to reduce finger noise and fret wear, and are an excellent choice for noise-fee recording."
