This is the second time I have bought these strings and have been completely satisfied
with both the product and service provided by JustStrings. These are my preferred strings
for my vintage Yamaha FG-75. They produce a bright, full sound with an excellent tone.
High-quality product. Prompt shipping. Excellent price. Great customer service. None

Always a great, bright string. It will help with dark sounding roseweood guitars to help balance their sound, while installed on a mahogany sided and backed guitars, it will give a brilliant response. An excellent way to perk up a tired sounding guitar.
Affordable, reasonable life, excellent shelf life. Won't last as some other strings. Not as layered and deep sounding a string as some others.

Not as bright as the John Pearse 80/20 bronze strings I usually buy
December 18, 2020
I usually order Jon Pearse 80/20 light gauge strings (#200L) from Just Strings but they were not available at the time, so I decided to order the D'Addario strings. I found the D'Addario's to be lacking in brightness when compared to the Pearse strings.

Additionally, I don't care fore for the manner in which D’Addario packages their strings. They no longer package each string separately in an envelope but instead coil the strings into bundles. Compounding the issue with the packaging is D'Addario has switched to using a color coded system employing colored balls to identify the string diameter/string number each string. Really? That's problematic for people like me as I am red/green colorblind.

Fortunately the Pearse strings are available again and I ordered a half case from Just Strings about a month ago. I threw the unused D'Addario strings I had left from my previous order from Just Strings as I don't need the frustration of dealing with a color coded system for string identification. That system It works for most people I guess, just not for me. Feel free to share this review with D''Addario if you wish.

Happy Holidays!

Less expensive than the Pearse strings I usually purchase. Less bright than the Pearse strings I generally use and the use of a color coded coded ball for identifying string size is really, really bad, especially if you are red/green color blind - like me.

Brighten up your dull guitar
October 2, 2019
If you have a guitar that lacks "snap", or just want to try a brighter-sounding string on a mahogany-top instrument that doesn't have much projection, 80/20 strings are worth a go. I used to have a terrible old Gibson J-50 that sounded dull until I tried these.
Typical D'Addario quality -- durable, stay in tune well. Might sound tinny on some small-body flat tops.
