Recently tried these and they are absolutely great! Fantastic tone and very tough. Played them hard and they hold up great. Definitely worth the money.

I've used them all and not only do they look cool but they sound excellent and are easy to slide across the nut while tuning to different tunes. No lubing these strings which i always found to be a pain. Longest lasting - just wipe them off with a micro cloth and your done!

Great for players with ass hands, hides the trail of grime left behind.

Sound decent, not as smooth as the Elixirs, over all not bad.

"These new Black Coated Strings were developed by Cavanaugh Co.'s sister company Super-Sensitive Musical String Co. by using the winding technology of orchestral strings. They will allow musicians to play three to four times longer. You will see wear of the strings as well as having an indicator of when to replace them."
