Basses, 500ARH5johnOctober 15, 2009I almost didn't order these strings because of their price which seemed excessive to me, but I was curious about the cf product and had never used such strings. Now that I've installed and played on mine for a while, I am completely sold on them. The tone is really superior, producing a slightly more burnished and mellow sound, yet completely clear and articulate. They hold their tension well after the initial hassle of tuning new strings. I also enjoy the action, although the difference between what is described as "low tension" and the normal tension of strings I've used in the past seems very slight to me. I am well satisfied with these strings and would purchase them again the next time I need new strings. In the long run, I believe they are good value for the money spent.
