With the custom gauge strings my guitar stays in tune great. I'm tuned down a half step. You have easy playability on the high strings being a 10/13/17/gauge and 28/38/50 on the low strings which are easy to play and bend plus they are very tight and can be hit very hard. They still growl great on the low strings.

Strings like the elixirs that everyone is raving I think kill the tone of a good guitar, but that's just me... Anyway, the JS strings are great, of professional quality just as I expected them to be (I know they are actually of a name brand). They let me change strings as often as I like to without leaving me broke. Another thing is that I prefer an unorthodox set (11 14 18 32 42 56), which is as easy as anything else with the bulk strings. Only gripe is the cumbersome packaging, but I knew about that going in, and the inconvenience is more than offset by the savings. Thanks, Travis.
