DR Strings Bass Fat Beam™ Stainless Steel Med-Lite .045 - .100, MML-454Mystic MichaelOctober 30, 2009I'm playing a medium-light set of Fat Beams on my fretless Carvin four-string (with epoxied fingerboard), and am digging 'em for their modern stainless steel clarity - yet warm tone and supple feel. DRs tend to be pretty smooth-sounding and smooth-feeling anyway, and the combination really works for my fretless. I'm sold on 'em.
