Dean Markley Bass Blue Steel NPS Roundwound Extra Light, .040 - .095, 2670AScott E HicksJuly 30, 2011I just bought and put these on yesterday. I'm using them on a Pedulla Bentabuzz 5 string fretless. They play and sound great right from the 'get-go.' (Unlike D'addario Prosteel, which have some sticky coating on them). They have a nice metallic growl to them, which is more dispersed and understated than steel strings. I like them better than I like the Pedulla nickel strings. I'm very curious to see how long these will last, as the Blue Steel (steel) strings last a long time. The only complaint I have is that I play with a high C rather than a low B, and the Blue Steel nickel do not have a high C string at all. Therefore, I had to buy a nickel high C from another company.
